June 23: National DREAM Action Day: Join the national grassroots youth-led movement for equal access to higher education!
On June 23rd, thousands of students will participate in the National DREAM Action Day to highlight the DREAM Act (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act), bipartisan legislation that would provide a path to legalization for students who were brought to the U.S. as children if graduate from a U.S. high school and then complete two years of college or military service.
A national Dream Graduation will take place on Capitol Hill. 500 students/youth and educators from all over the country will come together to “graduate” then walk the halls of Congress to advocate for the DREAM Act. The day will serve to mobilize and solidify our base of youth leaders, engage and affirm commitments from congressional allies, and unite our broader coalition of education and immigrant rights organizations. Can’t go to D.C.? Join the local Dream Graduation in Los Angeles and Orange County! More information provided below.
