National Day of Action for the DREAM Act
Students Set to Travel to D.C.

WHAT Press conference about Korean American youths traveling to D.C. to participate in the National Dream Graduation Ceremony. Youths will also attend local ceremonies to be held in Los Angeles and Orange County.

WHY The purpose of the national DREAM day of action event is to mobilize public support for the movement to achieve equal access to higher education and passage of the DREAM Act as well as to engage and affirm commitments from congressional allies.

Introduced on March 26, 2009, the DREAM (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors) Act, bipartisan legislation that would provide a path to legalization for students who were brought to the U.S. as children if graduate from a U.S. high school and then complete two years of college or military service.
