Dream Scholarship Fund
—————————————————————–
[krcla.org/en/DSF]

NAKASEC, KRCC and KRC are excited to begin the application
process of the Dream Scholarship Fund [krcla.org/en/DSF].
Founded in 2007 by Korean American youth who have tirelessly
campaigned the last nine years for the passage of the DREAM Act
tailored legislation that would provide a path to legalization
for eligible immigrant students who grew up in the United States
– the Dream Scholarship Fund will award $1,000 scholarships to
Asian Pacific Islander American students in California and
Illinois with financial need and who face undue hardships.

March for America
—————————————————————–
[nakasec.org/blog/mar..]

On Sunday, March 21st, NAKASEC & its affiliates will march on the
Capitol alongside thousands to demand that President Obama and
Congress keep their promise to enact comprehensive immigration
reform for new American families and to insist that they act
boldly to make the economy work for all American families. We
cannot wait any longer for immigration reform!

Immigrant Phone Survey Project
—————————————————————–
[krcla.org/blog/1561/]

SIREN (an immigrant rights organization in Northern California)
is engaged in a multilingual phone survey to the six largest
immigrant groups in Santa Clara County.

KRC is assisting the project by surveying Korean American
immigrants in Los Angeles County. If you speak Korean or English,
we need your help [krcla.org/blog/1561/]!

Tell the Mayor – We Want Green Jobs!
—————————————————————–
Last April the Los Angeles Apollo Alliance won a landmark city
ordinance to CREATE GREEN JOBS and invest in inner city
communities hardest hit by the recession. Although the ordinance
was adopted unanimously by city council and with the support of
the Mayor, implementation has stalled. Even though funding for
this project will come from federal and special funding, not city
general fund. Let the Mayor know you want quality green jobs
for LA now. [bit.ly/la-green-jobs]
