ASIAN AMERICAN ELECTION EVE POLL SHOWS FASTEST GROWING DEMOGRAPHIC
LARGELY IGNORED BY BOTH MAJOR PARTIES
Webinar to Discuss Critical Results of Asian American Poll

Washington, DC — An in-depth Asian American election eve poll has found that the
country’s fastest growing demographic has been largely ignored by both major parties in
this year’s election season. The National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community
Development and the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund will discuss the
results of their Asian American Election Eve Poll through a webinar tomorrow,
November 7 at 12 PM PST/3 PM EST. National CAPACD and AALDEF’s Election Eve poll
highlights the Asian American community’s affinity for President Obama and support for
federal housing and healthcare programs — despite a split in Asian American party
affiliation. The poll also illustrates a widespread dearth of GOTV efforts from either
major party within the Asian American and Pacific Islander community.
