CITY CLERK LAUNCHES “L.A. CITY VOTES!” VOTER OUTREACH AND EDUCATION CAMPAIGN FOR THE 2013 MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
LOS ANGELES (November 8, 2012) — City Clerk June Lagmay, in partnership with local voting advocacy organizations, will hold a press conference on Thursday, November 15, 2012 to launch “L.A. City Votes!”, a new voter outreach and education campaign designed to inform, educate, and energize voters about the upcoming City of Los Angeles 2013 Municipal Elections. News media, community organizations, and all interested individuals are invited to attend this event, which will take place at the City Hall south lawn on the First Street steps:

Topics will include:
ü Introduction of the Get-Out-The-Vote Campaign, including non-partisan voter registration and hosting and attending community voter education and outreach events
ü Dissemination of new outreach materials
ü Announcement of voter services in three additional new languages and expansion of the Division’s social media presence on Twitter
