of citizens were massacred on May 18th of
1980 for opposing the military coup d’etat,
young Korean Americans established the educational
training center, Korean Resource Center,
and launched a movement in the U.S. for
peace and democracy in Korea.

the Korean Resource Center and the 28th
anniversary of the 5.18 Gwangju People’s

There are two important
propositions on the ballot at the June 3rd
elections. The Korean Resource Center recommends
that you vote:
NO
to 98
Prop.
98 ends rent control and will
add economic burden to low-income working
class families or force them to move out.
YES
to 99
Prop.
99 will stop Prop. 98 AND protect single
family homes.

KRC’s campaign to get out
the vote has been wildly succesful. Every
single phone call, every single visit to
voters has resulted into a commitment from
voters to show up to vote on election day
and to vote against Proposition 98.
 To
date, 90% of more than 800 voters contacted
by KRC over the phone will vote on
June 3rd, and 92% of them will vote against
98 and for 99. [source]
