  • There will be a "cloture" vote on the DREAM Act (S.2205) at the Senate on 10/24/07.
  • 10/24 8:50 am (PDT): The DREAM Act is being discussed on the Senate Floor now. You can watch live at http://www.c-span.org/watch/cs_cspan2_wm.asp?Cat=TV&Code=CS2
  • 10/24 9:50 am - The cloture vote on the DREAM Act did not pass by 52 yeses and 44 noes. Feinstein voted yes, and Boxer was not present during the vote. The vote needed 60 yeses. This means that the DREAM Act would not proceed quickly as we expected, but there is still time to try other methods. 드림법안을 신속히 통과시키는 것(cloture)에 대한 표결이 실패했습니다. 그러나 아직 여러가지 방법이 남아있습니다. Stay tuned!

The DREAM (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors) Act allows undocumented students to go to college and become successful US citizens. More information at DREAM Act.

Many DREAM students came to the US at an early age and consider the US their home yet because of some immigration laws, they find themselves deprived of higher education, deprived of a future, and deprived of the opportunity to dream.
