During 2010, KRC provided government assistance applications, tax clinics, naturalization applications, ESL classes, and health access activities, covering over 10,000 low-income, seniors and working families in the community. KRC also led the way in the Korean American community for immigration reform, electoral organizing and civic participation, health, economy, and housing issues. Also active is the cultural education work to open up Korean culture in southern California, and passing on the tradition to future generations.
However, the economic downturn has deeply impacted KRC. With many foundation grants gone, KRC has only secured $200,000 out of $450,000 needed for one year of operations. Therefore, many KRC programs risk being discontinued.
We ask for your support to get us through these financial difficulties. Should each of the 10,000 people who use KRC’s services each year contribute $25 (low-income) or $50 (regular), KRC can raise the needed $250,000 needed to continue KRC’s operations. Of course foundation and corporate gifts are important to KRC’s finances, but it is each one of you who can build up KRC’s future.
You may give on a monthly basis, or a yearly basis. All your contributions will be tax deductible.
