Since 1996, the Korean Resource Center's Korean American Voter Empowerment Project (KAVEP) sought to strengthen the civic engagement and voter empowerment in the Korean American community. KAVEP is a comprehensive, multi-faceted project that includes the following work areas: Voter Education (voter guide distribution and workshops), Voter Registration, Voter Assistance(Voter Hotline and Vote-By-Mail Assistance), Voter Mobilization (Phonebanking and Precinct Walks), Voting Rights Advocacy (Poll Monitoring), and Voter Research.
