Why:The DREAM Act would enable more than 65,000 undocumented students who graduate each year to attend an institution of higher education and get on a path towards citizenship. Although Congress failed to prioritize talented immigrant students by voting down the DREAM Act, Students across the country continue to mobilize declaring that their dreams cannot wait another year. This Wednesday, students eager to fulfill their potential and contribute to the country they know as their home, will demonstrate both their willingness to achieve and their hope to have the DREAM Act enacted before the end of Congress’ fall session.

Visuals: Students will wear caps & gowns while holding signs that display such slogans as “Now What?”, GUERILLA THEATER featuring a “mock” graduation, warring ICE officers and students, large colorful signs and banners.

Sponsored By: The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA), the American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California (ACLU-SC), the Korean Resource Center (KRC), Pilipino Worker's Center (PWC), Institute of Popular Education of Southern California (IDEPSCA), the National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON), Our Lady Queen of Angeles, the Olvera Church, The Council of Mexican Federations of North America (COFEM)
