Taekkyeon

Taekkyeon is a traditional Korean martial art. It is well known for its variety of kicking skills and smooth and rhythmic, yet fast and powerful movement. Despite its decline in modern times, efforts to revive Taekkyeon have led to its inscription as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2011, making it the first martial art to receive this recognition. KRC, in collaboration with the World Taekkyeon Federation, continues to promote Taekkyeon as a traditional sport to enhance public health.
